Brick and block layer — Ikom

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ikom, Cross River State. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
