Milling machine operator wanted in Dorset

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Dorset, England. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron On the job you will handle: • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Six days a week, one day off.
