Immediate opening: foundry worker (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Travis County, Texas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
