Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work The role involves press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots.
