Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Morris County, Kansas. You will work at a café with an on-site bakery. Your main tasks: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience.
