Steel erection rigger • Tarka, Benue State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Tarka, Benue State. Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Six days a week, one day off.
