Hand presser wanted in Lake County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hand presser in Lake County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience.
