Sand plant operator • Duval County, Florida

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Duval County, Florida. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Six days a week, one day off.
