Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging The role involves grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL).
