We are recruiting: gang bricklayer (Yobe State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Nguru, Yobe State. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Day-to-day duties: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
