Now hiring: lathe programmer-operator (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Scott County, Iowa. You will work at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear What we are looking for: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm 4+ years on the tools preferred.
