We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Wayne County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
