Foundry worker • Agege, Lagos State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Agege, Lagos State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
