Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment presser in Ottawa County, Michigan. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Day to day you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 5+ years on the tools preferred.
