Immediate opening: butcher (Rivers State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a butcher in Bonny, Rivers State. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
