Excavator operator — Southampton

We are recruiting: we are hiring an excavator operator in Southampton, England. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Requirements: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
