Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in Boyd County, Kentucky. The job is on a commercial fit-out site. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish The role involves: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
