Now hiring: we are hiring a confectioner in Macoupin County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Basic cake decorating and piping skills 5+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
