Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Ibarapa Central, Oyo State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Pay around ₦175,000 per month, based on your experience.
