Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. The job is at a garment factory. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; give each garment a final press before packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching.
