Join our team: we are hiring a head butcher in Ika, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required You will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools.
