Wood machinist — Peterborough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a wood machinist in Peterborough, England. You will work on a commercial fit-out site. Requirements: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage The role involves: • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions Part-time with flexible hours.
