Garden maintenance worker — Coconino County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Coconino County, Arizona. You will work on a golf course. On a typical shift you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste. You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $6,500 per project, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
