Horticulturist • Biriniwa, Jigawa State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in Biriniwa, Jigawa State. The job is in a residential garden complex. On a typical shift you will plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings. What we are looking for: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
