Oven operator — Borden County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an oven operator in Borden County, Texas. You will be based at a cake shop. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • 2+ years' experience as a baker Your main tasks: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
