Urgent requirement: sausage maker (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Mitchell County, Iowa. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate On the job you will handle: • Season and marinate meat on request • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case 3+ years on the tools preferred.
