We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Linn County, Oregon. The job is at a textile finishing unit. The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Give each garment a final press before packing Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
