Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel wireman in Reading, England. You will work in a power distribution substation. On a typical shift you will pull and terminate cables in conduit and cable trays; carry out preventive maintenance on switchgear and busbars; check earth continuity and earth pit resistance; isolate circuits and apply lockout-tagout before working; crimp lugs and terminate armoured cable glands; run conduit, lay PVC trunking and clip cable. What we are looking for: • Valid wireman/electrical licence as required by the state • Normal colour vision for cable identification • Safe handling of live LV circuits and proper PPE use 1+ years on the tools preferred.
