Precision welder • Dass, Bauchi State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Dass, Bauchi State. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Meals and transport allowance provided.
