Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Jersey County, Illinois. You will work at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; refuel the machine and record running hours; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms.
