We are recruiting: furniture maker (Kano State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furniture maker in Karaye, Kano State. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. On the job you will handle: • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists 6+ years on the tools preferred.
