Immediate opening: port container crane operator (New Jersey)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Hudson County, New Jersey. Day-to-day duties: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
