Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Harper County, Kansas. The job is at a road and highway construction project. Your main tasks: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Part-time with flexible hours.
