Immediate opening: prep cook (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a prep cook in Jackson County, Illinois. You will work in a catering banquet kitchen. Day to day you will plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Strong knife skills and speed on the line Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
