Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Scott County, Missouri. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. The role involves: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Score the top of loaves before baking • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen 2+ years on the tools preferred.
