Garment presser — Duval County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Duval County, Florida. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
