Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in DeWitt County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 6+ years on the tools preferred. $8,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
