Now hiring: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Colfax County, Nebraska. You will work at a civil contractor's yard. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels Your main tasks: • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank Part-time with flexible hours.
