Brick and block layer — San Augustine County

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in San Augustine County, Texas. The job is on a commercial construction site. On a typical shift you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 6+ years on the tools preferred.
