Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Pierce County, Nebraska. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Your main tasks: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $7,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
