Fettler — Shomgom

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Shomgom, Gombe State. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Part-time with flexible hours.
