Vacancy available: port container crane operator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Clinton County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Part-time with flexible hours.
