Great opportunity: we are hiring a gardener in Berkeley County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe. You should have: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
