The role involves: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
