Trainee butcher — Midlothian

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Midlothian, Scotland. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day to day you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours.
