Argon welder • Ihitte/Uboma, Imo State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Ihitte/Uboma, Imo State. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
