Immediate opening: we are hiring a sausage maker in Davidson County, Tennessee. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Full-time, day shift.
