Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Bond County, Illinois. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • 2+ years experience working as a butcher 5+ years on the tools preferred.
