Press shop operator — Nottingham

Now hiring: we are hiring a press shop operator in Nottingham, England. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Your main tasks: • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. £2,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
