Now hiring: nursery worker (Maine)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a nursery worker in Hancock County, Maine. Day to day you will weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings. What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
